Read the stamp on the valve body behind the trim. If it says 0X8, JX8, VB8 or JV8, this cartridge fits, whether what you pull out is one integrated unit or a two-piece set. The body accepts either.
The spout drips with the handle off, the shower turns cold when a toilet flushes or a washer fills, spikes hot without warning, never reaches full temperature, or the handle has gone stiff and unpredictable through its arc.
