Will it fit?

Fits

  • Delta single-handle ball valve kitchen and lavatory faucets
  • Delta 1700, 1900 and 600 series and the Delta 2650
  • Select Delta two-handle stem faucets that use seats and springs
  • Peerless faucets on the same ball valve design

Not compatible with

  • Delta DST Diamond Seal faucets
  • Delta Touch2O models
  • Delta 35955LF
  • Faucets with a single ceramic disc cartridge and nothing underneath it

Is this your part?

Pull the handle and bonnet and lift the ball assembly out. Two small rubber seats sitting on springs down in the valve body means this is your part. If the valve holds a single ceramic disc cartridge with nothing underneath it, it is a different design and this pack will not help.

When to replace it

The spout drips with the handle closed, water weeps past the ball when the faucet is off, or the faucet keeps running no matter how far the handle turns. Worn rubber seats and tired springs are the usual cause.

What is in the box

How to install it

Time: 10 to 15 minutes per faucet. Tools: Allen key, Adjustable pliers, Pencil or small Allen key to lift the old seats.

  1. Shut the supply stops and open the faucet to bleed pressure.
  2. Pop the handle cap, back out the handle screw and lift the handle.
  3. Unscrew the bonnet and lift out the cam and ball.
  4. Scoop the old seats and springs out of the valve body with an Allen key or a pencil tip.
  5. Drop each new spring in wide end down and rest the seat on the narrow end. A spring in upside down is the one mistake that leaves it dripping.
  6. Reassemble in reverse and test.

Questions

How many faucets does one pack rebuild?

Up to 12. Each faucet takes two seats and two springs.

Should I replace the ball too?

If the ball is pitted, scored or ridged, new seats will not fully seal against it. Change it in the same visit.

Does it fit a Delta Touch2O or Diamond Seal faucet?

No. DST Diamond Seal faucets, Touch2O models and the 35955LF use a different design.

Is this the same repair as Danco 88103?

Yes. It serves the same repair on the same valve.
